why this site has no name

no name, no face, no comment box. two letters and a domain. this is the reasoning, such as it is.

a photo posted under a name is a small performance. you start noticing which pictures get a reaction, and then, quietly, you start taking those pictures. i wanted somewhere the audience is nobody, so the photos can stay what they were when i took them: things i saw and wanted to keep.

if you found this place, you probably know me. if you don't, even better. the photos work the same either way.
